Kate Middleton is Red Hot at St. Andrew's

I'm sure St. Andrew's University will always hold a special place in the hearts of Prince William and Kate Middleton. It's where they met, where they were educated, where they came of age and all that. And, yes, it was the beginning of a long, very publicized wait for Kate that is set to culminate this April in a wedding like the world hasn't seen since, well, Wills' parents tied the knot nearly thirty years ago. Obviously everyone is hoping for a better outcome this time around.

Wills and Kate were on hand to mark the 600th anniversary of their former stomping ground and KMidd obviously had no intention of fading into the background. Kate wowed with a red Luisa Spagnoli skirt suit with black buttons and belt purchased at Hollie de Keyser. Kate accessorized with a black turtleneck, leather gloves, black hose and Aquatalia by Marvin K Rumba Boots.

Kate Looks Vibrant in Red

Prince William and Kate Middleton visited St. Andrews University in Fife, Scotland, today to mark the school's 600th anniversary.

Once again, Kate wore an outfit from her own wardrobe. She wore a well-tailored, classic and flattering red suit with a black velvet belt. The designer has not yet been identified. She again wore her black stretch suede boots from the American brand, Aquatalia, designed by Marvin K and sold in the UK by Russell & Bromley.

Update 6/12/11

After much searching, I have finally found the earrings that Kate was wearing.

They are Kiki McDonough from her 'Grace Collection.' The earrings are set in white gold with a white topaz center stone surrounded by diamonds.

Kate Middleton Launches a Rescue Boat in Anglesey

The face that launched a thousand ships? Maybe. What Kate Middleton is, definitely, is the soon-to-be-newest member of The Firm. For one of their first public appearances together as an engaged couple Prince William and Kate Middleton chose an event on the Welsh island of Anglesey, where Wills works as a rescue pilot and where the newlyweds will try to melt into the background after their April wedding. We'll see how well that works out for them.

Anyhoo, the future Mrs. Prince William (or Catherine, as I suppose we're to call her) was all smiles despite the blustery wind. Showing that she's a frugal fashionista Kate recycled the handsome Katherine Hooker military-style "London Contrast" Shetland herringbone overcoat she was sporting. KMidd was photographed in the then-longer coat at the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2006.

We also really like Kate's chic brown velvet fascinator, which featured pheasant feathers (What can we say? We love feathers almost as much as we love chocolate--hey, we said almost!) and the insignia of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, according to the Daily Mail. The fascinator is from Wiltshire-based Vivien Sheriff Millinery and appears to have been in Kate's possession for some time and not made expressly for the occassion.

Kate's earrings are the Kiki Mcdonough Citrine Drops, her clutch by L.K. Bennett and her brown suede ankle boots by Russell and Bromley.

Kate's Coat is Identified!

After some careful research, the designer of Kate's coat has been identified! The velvet-collared coat is by London based designer, Katherine Hooker. This coat was previously worn by Kate in 2006 at the Cheltenham Gold Cup horse race (see picture below).

According to the Telegraph, the mid-calf length coat was shortened by Katherin Hooker herself so that it would hit just above the knee. The coat is known as the "London Contrast" coat and is made from Shetland herringbone with a brown velvet trim. Prices range from £520 (Express Collection Fabric) to £1,175 (Special Collection Fabric).

A Fashionable First Engagement for Kate

Kate Middleton embarked on her first official engagement with Prince William today giving her a preview of what life will be like after the Royal Wedding.

The couple braved the blustery winds and grey skies on the Welsh coast to visit an RNLI lifeboat station in Anglesey close to where the Prince is based as a search and rescue pilot.

Kate wore a handcrafted, chocolate-brown Vivien Sheriff headpiece. It was decorated with military buttons and pheasant feathers.

Her previously worn three-quater-length beige coat, with brown trimmings is of unknown origin. She also wore a black scarf, brown tights and black suede Aquatalia by Marvin K. ankle-boots ($398). http://www.aquatalia.com/products/Boots/ROYAL/black+nappa+suede/162.html

She wore her hair tied up in a stylish pony tail which she has rarely been photographed wearing.
